Florence - Day 2 - Renaissance art and wine tasting

The entrance to our pensione - did I mention it's wedged between Alexander McQueen and Prada? Also on our street are Tiffany, Sergio Rossi, Burberry, Dior, Salvatore Ferragamo and Pucci - just to name a few!
View of the Arno and Ponte Vecchio from the rooftop of the Uffizi gallery - where we saw works from the likes of Carravagio, Michaelangelo, DaVinci and Botticeli (including Botticeli's, The Birth of Venus - which was just amazing)
Another view from the rooftop of the Uffizi - behind you can see the Duomo
Enjoying a coffee break in a little cellar bar in the street behind our pensione
View across the countryside on our visit to Villa le Corte - a well respected producer of Chianti and premium olive oil in Tuscany
The 400-year old cellar at Villa le Corte
Inside the 400-year old cellar - premium chianti aged in french oak barrels for 24 months
Villa le Corte stores its olive oil in traditional terracotta pots
The beautiful Italian garden at the back of the winery
The best part - tasting the wine! (accompanied by olive oil, fresh bread and locally produced pecorino cheese)
